Terry Rosenberg was born in Connecticut and lives and works in New York City. He attended Alfred University (MFA 1978) and the University of Miami (BFA 1976). He was awarded an Arts/Industry grant from the Kohler Company in 1979 and 1982; a residency at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in 1986 and 1991; New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in 1989; and a Master Fellowship from the Nebraska Arts Council 1996.

Solo exhibitions include Institute for Arts and Urban Resources, The Clocktower (now MoMA PS1) Sheldon Museum of Art; Centro Nacional de las Artes, Mexico City; and University of Wyoming Art Museum. Group exhibitions include Smithsonian American Art Museum; Museum of Fine Arts Boston; Albright Knox Art Gallery; Sao Paulo Bienal; Whitney Museum of American Art at Philip Morris; P.S.1; Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; Konsthallen, Goteborg; and Fondazione Mudima per l’Arte Contemporanea, Milan.

Rosenberg’s work can be found in the permanent collections of Graphische Sammlung Albertina; Smithsonian American Art Museum; Brooklyn Museum; Fine Arts Museums San Francisco; Walker Art Center; and Nelson Atkins Museum. Additional information can be found at terryrosenberg.com.
